Basic soil preparation |
The trailed X-shaped disc harrow for stubble cultivation and for preparing the soil before sowing is available in working widths from 4 to 12 metres.
Serrated discs, 8 mm thick and 660 mm in diameter, are standard, as are hydraulic cutting angle adjustment from 0° to 25°, double taper roller bearings, 40 mm disc shafts made of special square steel and a telescopic undercarriage.
The design of the disc harrow, unlike short implements, not only ensures good mixing of the cultivated soil with crop residues, but also good levelling of the field surface. The good mixing is achieved by the X-shaped arrangement of the disc shafts, the levelling of the field surface by the necessary working length and width of the implement.
Various roller followers, such as a 630 mm or 800 mm solid bar roller or tube packer roller or a 560 mm DOUBLE CUTTER roller, ensure the appropriate reconsolidation and rapid emergence of the volunteer grain.
Thanks to the high working speed, the performance of the machine is 30-50% higher than with conventional disc harrows This is also due to the fact that the TERRA-DISC -X has a dead weight of 1,000 kilograms per metre of working width. This ensures very good work even under extreme conditions.
